About This Tool
The AATS Adult Cardiac Surgery Risk Calculator is a preoperative risk prediction tool
developed by the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) Quality Gateway program.
It provides individualized risk estimates for adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery,
trained on data from over 52,000 cases at high-performing AATS member institutions.
This calculator is intended for use by cardiac surgeons and healthcare professionals
to support preoperative planning and informed consent discussions.
